Ive been wanting to update but I have been so crazy at work this week, its nuts...i worked 51 hours! wow...crazy...I went to the Bfl last night with Jaime, that was cool i had fun. Tonight we went and saw "friends with money" its this really random movie with Jennifer Aniston, i liked it but it was so random lol.
So last week i had a consult and physicall at Dr Klein's office, and i also had a consult with Dr. Owens about the lap band. That visit was cool, i liked Dr. Owens, but i have since decided to not go foward with the lap band, i think the bypass is the best choice for me. I went on the lap band board, and so many people were struggling with their weight, i just dont want to feel like that, not that i wont anyways , but i dont know, it seemed like a lot of people.
My visit at Dr kleins office wasnt that great, it is far from my house, and i only went because i had a strong recommendation from a friend. But for a combination of reasons im not going to go through his office. I have an appointment with smart dimensions on thursday, so i hope that will go well. Im just annoyed because i dont want to do another 2 hour long physicall cause i just did one lol.
I bought some of these south beach diet wraps from the store, and they are good! i was thinking they would be a good option post surgery, because they are low calorie, and high in protein...im curious if people have tried and liked these....

4*9*06...Im actually going to attempt at blogging here. I just lurke on the messege board and read everything, but i never know if i should reply, because i dont know much, or know anyone. I want my profile done up, but i read a post about how they arent doing it anymore, so o well.
A couple years ago when i first started thinking about WLS i really wanted the lap band. I attended some seminars, but i didnt have proper insurance, so it pretty much just ended there. Since ive come back to being highly intrested and really attempting to get it done, the idea of the lap band kind of went away, and im pretty positive i want the bypass. However i went to a seminar last week, at O band surgery center in orange, and all they do is outpatient lap bands, they contacted me from my heigth and weight and so i went. Although Dr. Francis does not opperate there she is the one that spoke. Since then i have been more indecisive on what procedure i should move foward with.The lap band seems great because its obviously less invasive, you dont have as many nutricial deficiancies, you dont lose your hair ( which is a major concern of mine) and its outpatient and your home in a few hours, PLus she told me she did my insurance benefits and i would have no out of pocket costs, which is great! I just dont know about going in every 6 weeks and having a needle stuck in my belly...seems kind of freaky to me. I guess my biggest concern though is, that i may fail...i have known of people that have had the lap band and did not lose much weight. I have been over weight since i was about 7 and i dont want to still be plus size, my goal would be like a size 6 or 8, if im going to have surgery i want to do it all the way. Now dont get me wrong i know it takes a lot of work and that either are just tools are not guarentees,I know that i will need to exercise and eat right, its having the energy and help to do those things. I really am kind of torn, i really dont know what to do, i know there has been some very successfull people whom had the lap band, i guess im just nervous that i wouldnt lose the amount i desire. If anyone has any advice please let me know!
Im going to the seminar for smart/light dimensions with my grandparents on wed, so that will be cool. It will cost me at least 2500 if i go with their program which is kind of a bummer, but my grandparents said they would help me out with it. Then i believe my new patient appointment is the 27th of this month. im so anxioius i want it to be that time already, now i just need help on what procedure would be best for me. I keep looking for orange county events on the board, and i never see any, it would be cool to meet some people, and be involved...so hopefully in the future.
As for personally, i got Dave Matthews tickets on saturday for their up coming tour, so i get to see them in irvine and in hollywood, im so excited!!! And i got my hair done today...yay!
