Hi Susan! I've been thinking of you and praying for your speedy recovery. My sister and I were going to call, but we didn't want to seem intrusive. I remember seeing Melissa at the WLS support group last Thursday, and she is doing great. I know you will be feeling well in no time at all!! Just think...you're finally on the LOSING side!! I'll talk to you about my first visit with Dr. Leggett's office as soon as you're able. Thank you so much for sending us there!! Love, Rachel & Debbie

Hi Susan, I am sure you are starting to get nervous. It will all be over soon, I had my surgery Tuesday the 7th and am doing great. I feel so proud of myself for having the courage to go through with my surgery that is the best feeling in the world you'll know what I mean in a few more days. I wish you a speedy and uneventful recovery. Melissa

I wish you a very speedy recovery, and more then that I wish for you to get all of the happiness you deserve from this courageous decision. Hold your head high, you have broken the bonds of pain that have kept you down and have risen above that in order to make your life better. That is a choice not all have the courage to make. And for those of us that have not yet arrived at our date...you are an inspiration. Hi Susan! Big congratulations on your surgery date! I bet you are so excited! Just hang in there and try to be patient! Don’t worry if you are nervous, scared, excited or go through a thousand different emotions. This is all normal, so go with the flow! There’s really nothing you can do with all those feelings surfacing. You may start to doubt yourself and question your decision to have surgery. Just about everyone has had this happen to them. You’re making a decision to have a better quality of life and YOU deserve it!! That gut feeling or that little voice inside lets you know that you’re doing the right thing! Remember that we’re all family here and we’re ready to give you our support, lend an ear and not judge. You know you can always come here and get a dose of confidence and good will! There are lots of us who have had surgery and are in your corner rooting for you!! I just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you today and that you are in my thoughts and prayers for a successful, problem-free surgery and recovery. I’m so happy for you. Congratulations on your surgery date! I have some Zen Wisdom for you - Nothing exists but momentarily...One thing flows into another...observe things as they are, let everything go as it goes. This is to put everything under control in its widest sense. --- May God keep you close to his side as you travel your new journey. You will have ups and downs. You can always turn to us, your AMOS family, we will give support, comfort and encouragement. You will find this will be the best thing you could ever have done for yourself as well as your family. I know that was true for me. Keep us posted when you reach the "other" side. I pray for a speedy and easy recovery for you. Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly. We all like to see how we are doing!!! Make sure you take pictures. It’s great to see the new you emerge!!! Not to mention the look on YOUR face when you look at those pictures and compare them in a few months! It’ll be a BIG WOW!!! Please remember too, that this is a *tool* to use. Make sure you use it wisely. The first year it’s pretty easy, after that I’ve been hearing (I’m not speaking from experience as I’m not a year out yet) that it gets increasingly difficult.
