What a wonderful new year!

Feb 17, 2009

So this is the new me! I am still getting used to me and the size. I have lost a total of 136 lbs. and have surpassed my goal 3 times. I feel amazing and am so thankful that I decided to get healthier. I feel amazing and cannot believe that in 11 months, that I am where I want to be. I have not updated in a while and just wanted to drop a line to say that I am happy and hope that everybody is doing well.

Down 131 lbs.

Dec 17, 2008

Well I am doing well. I had to have my gallbladder removed on 12-01-08 and I feel fine now. I have lost 131 lbs now and feel great. I have surpassed my first goal and am now about 4 lbs. from my new goal of 185. I have not updated in a while and thought that I should give a little clue as to what is going on in Jaimeland! I am just working and taking care of my babies and start school again at the end of January. I have to say that I have more confidence than ever before and have not for one minute regretted my decision to have this surgery. I have fears that I will gain the weight back and that to me is a nightmare. I hope that with those fears in the back of my mind that that keeps me motivated to stay on the path that I am on now.  Well I will post new pics soon.

100 LBS. LOST

Aug 29, 2008

I am now 5 1/2 months post op and have officially lost 100 lbs. I am actually down 103, but the 100 was really exciting. I am doing pretty good. I really need to buckle down with my exercise. I was doing really well with the elliptical and doing bleacher miles, but stopped over two weeks ago, and have not found the motivation to start again. So my goal is to start Monday again. So I hope everyone has a good three day weekend. I will post again soon. Only about 27 more lbs to go.

95 DOWN!!!

Aug 11, 2008

It has been a little while since I updated, so I thought that I would update where I am at right now. I am down 95 lbs. and am feeling really good. I am 5 months post op today. I cannot imagine being where I was again, and cannot believe that I ever let myself get there. My body is going back to its original form better than I ever hoped for. I have added exercise to the routine and it has definitely helped out. I feel really good after I work out, I am just not a workout person, but I am making myself become one. I want working out to be part of my normal schedule. I do not want to have to fit it in. I just want it to be daily ritual and it is getting there slowly. I can actually see the defined muscles in my legs which is amazing because I do not think that I have seen my calf muscles since college.  I am not getting as much flab as I thought that I would have. My arms are a little flabby, but nothing that a tee shirt cannot hide. My stomach has a little flab like after you have a baby, but I do not have an apron at all. I am so happy and satisfied with this surgery and would do it over 10 times. I am finally starting to feel like the real me that was hiding under the extra skin and fat cells. So 95 lbs later, I am feeling great and hope to continue this journey for a bit longer. I will update again soon.

Just a quick update. I am down 74 lbs and feeling a lot better. I am really starting to feel more normal now. I feel like I am on a really good diet and sticking with it. I can eat just about anything, but I stick with my portion size and try to stick with high protein foods first. Well I will update again soon.

I woke up this morning and I am finally down 60 lbs. My goal right now is 120 lbs, so I am officially half way there. It has not been very long, but it feels like it has taken forever. I am out about 10 weeks, but it feels like months. Well I will update after my next follow up with doctor on 06-12-08.

Well I am down 51 lbs now. I am 8 weeks out and have finally hit the 50 mark. It is really funny how it feels like it has been coming off very slowly, but I would have never lost 51 lbs. in 8 weeks before surgery!!

Well everything has been going pretty good. I am 6 or7 weeks out and have lost 39.5 lbs. It feels like it comes off so slowly, but I know that is not true. If I had not had the surgery I would have never lost this amount of weight in such a small amount of time. I am finally doing ok with my protein and am starting to feel better. I had a couple of weeks where I did not get any protein in and now I am worried that I am going to start losing my hair. Well I will update again after I have my 2 month followup on 5-9-08.

So I was a little disappointed that I only lost 1 lb at my two week checkup. Sande says it is normal because I lost so much the first week, but I was still hoping for more. I started working out on 03-28 and I feel really good. I am doing 30 minutes of cardio and some strength training. I will update after next checkup.

Even better! I had my followup today and I have lost 22 lbs. I am still not getting enough fluids per day and not enough protein. Per Doc I need to substitute fluids for foods if I feel that I am not drinking enough. But everything looks good so far. I will update later.
