Hi My name is Tamatha but most call me Tammy. I am 24 years old and I am about to have Lap Banding Surgery. I have the greatest best friend I could ever have and his name is Sean. I meet him when I was 15 once then when I was 18 He started working at my Parents business. I new he like me, and I eventually came around! LOL. I always loved the fact that he loves me heavy and that is hard to find. I want to be thin for him more than for me! He is 10 years older then me so I was a little paraniod about that in the begining but I am so over it now. I got married 1 month from being 19. We went on a cruise for our Honeymoon to the Carribean. I look at the pictures all the time and wish that I was thinner. That would have made it a little better, I could have worn a bathing suit or shorts which I don't do.

When I was 18 I went to my GYNO and told them that since I could remember (about 12) I always had irregular periods. And that the same time always struggled with my weight. I was doing Atkins at 12 way before it was "IN". And I did lose the weight for a while and looked great. I bought these white jeans and my goal was to wear them and I did. But the weight always came back, with another few freinds along for the ride. So at 18 I was told I had PCOS. I had never heard of it before in my life. I did some research and tought I don't have the hair loss, the added facial hair, or the other bad traits that so along with the stigma. But I did have irregular periods, some Acne and come to find out a few years later Infertility, but most of all I had the weight gain around the time I was 12. My husband always said to me that you don't eat alot or all the time. So he was wondering why I had weight gain. I relized that it was the PCOS.  I found a Specialist who hlped me understand what I had and this is how you treat it. Birth Control. So I took it for a while didn't like it and took my self off. By Doctor almost killed me!! She told me I Had to stay on it for the rest of my life to avoid cancer.

I never tried to stop myself from getting pregnant and it never happened. So with God and Clomid I became Pregnant after 7 rounds of Clomid. I did really good with not gaining weight during pregancy I actually lost weight. My start weight was the same at about 8 months. My body just seemed to run really good.  I got down to 215 after I had my son. But the weight eventually came back to my high of 242. I did the fiber thing and South Beach and got back down to 225--230.

My mom had been researching this the open gastric bypass for a while and the Lap Band. But she decided to have the R-ny open surgery. She had it at the end of August and already is looking really good. She bought a book My Muhummand Ali's Daughter about having the Lap Band and she told me about it. When I found out that you can't drink and eat at the same time I thought I will find another way to lose it, maybe another diet. But I read the book and though about it. Well  on August 11th  I was told I had a DVT in my right leg. And that I had to stop the Birth Control and could never take it again. I was scared because I knew I was supposed to be on it. But, I did some research and found that taking Metforim really helps woman with PCOS and it helped me lose a few pounds and had finally made me ovulate on my own and have a period on my own with out the fertility medicine. All this is happening right before surgery also. I feel really good about it because now I know I will Ovulate on my own once I lose the weight.

This all happening made me say to myself I have to lose this weight. It will kill me at a young age. I have a son I want to live for. A husband I want to grow old with. So with my Family and God I decided to have the surgery as a means of a "tool" to help my live longer and healthier and skinner!

Wish me luck for Wednesday!

Start weight 230
Goal weight for now 150!

Bye Bye!
