Tamera41
Hello, my name is Tamera Randolph and I have struggled with my weight all my life. I am 5’8 ½ " (shrinking) tall and weigh 262lbs.
My first recollection of being "big girl" was in the summer before my 7th grade year of school. I was already 5’8" so I was not overweight, but when everyone else was weighing close to 100 lbs, I was huge!!!! Playing sports in school helped me to stay in shape without really having to diet. But, once I finished with my sports my senior year, boy did the weight start piling on. By the time I got pregnant with my first son, I have been on all kinds of diets, Nutri System, Weight Watchers, Slim Fast, Diet Pills for years, Atkins and all of them were somewhat successful. About 5 years ago, I attended a seminar for gastric bypass and decided then that I could not afford it. Recently my health has begun to go down hill.
I, along with all my teammates,
had to have a physical to allow us to play sports in school.
The Dr. came to our school to perform a brief physical on each of us. We all had to weigh in front of each other. I remember stepping on the scales and everyone around me screamed "150 lbs"…WOW!

I was 198 lbs. I gained 80 lbs with my pregnancy. Needless to say, I have not been below 200 lbs since then. My son is now 23 years old. I have another son 20 years old.
However; I never maintained the weight loss for very long.
My insurance would not pay for me to have this type of surgery.
I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and I have an irregular heart beat.
I also have a back injury and I am in constant pain.
My legs swell all the time.
I am so ready to start my new life!
My hobbies are APA 8-ball and 9-ball.
Love to shoot pool!
