"Dr. Stelmack is probably the best doctor i have ever seen. I was in surgery for several hours longer than most RNY patients, because after completing the initial surgery there was a leak. So, instead of just repairing the leak, he took the whole thing apart and started over. My impression of Dr. Stelmack only gets better from that point. At about 9 months post-op, i started having problems eating, keeping food down, etc. Instead of driving all the way back to columbus, i used a doctor here in cincy. well... that turned into a huge mistake. the doctor here didn't realize the complications that come with the RNY nor the chances of me being dehydrated. Dr. stelmack saw me on a 4 hour notice, diagnosed my problem (for that time being) and had me admitted to be re-hydrated within hours. he then called my family doctor a few days later with info that i needed another surgery because all of the docs down here were missing a hernia (which later turned out to be adhesions blocking my colon). he had me scheduled for surgery 3 days later (only because i couldn't be there the next day). Dr. Stelmack is still very concerned and calls me at home on a regular basis. he is concerned and caring and i really appreciate that in a doctor. And this is coming from a person who HATES doctors LOL. I would highly recommend dr. stelmack to ANYONE wanting a gastric bypass :)"
