So, i'm slowing getting closer to the suregery date.  Ad of today it's 33 days.  On Monday the 19th I go to the cardiologist again, the tests are only good for 6 months.  It will be 7 months between the first appointment and surgery.  Not a big deal for me.  I don't mind having another EKG done just to be sure the old ticker is working properly.  I had had some palpatations.  I think that was because I had not taken my Prozac fo 4 days and then the next time I took it...my heart was freaking out.  So a double check is a good thing.  Also that day I have the IVC filter placement.
On July 26th I have to meet with a nurse practitioner and I have the all day class about the procedure.  I just schedule my preadmission testing for Aug. 4th.  Then 2 weeks til surgery!! 
I'm nervous but excited.  I can't wait to get this weight off and enjoy life!!  I'm ready for the new me.

I spoke with Toni today...I got my surgery date...08/18/10!!! 

I received the much anticipated letter from Keystone showing they approved the surgery.  So, first thing Monday I will be calling Tony at the surgeon's office to see about setting a surgery date.  I'm excited.  It feels surreal. Like it's really not happening.
YAY!!!

I had been denied by Keystone for my DS surgery.  However, I did an appeal and they have approved it!!  YAY!!!!  I'm excited and scared at the same time.  I want this, I need this!!!  I'm scared I don't have enough knowledge about the procedure and the lifestyle that comes with it...the amount of protein, the types of vitamins, good sources of protein and a place to get vitamins cheap!!  So much running through my head right now.  I suppose I'll just keep reading and learning, going to support group and making friends on line.  Hopefully I'll be able to schedule a surgery date sooner than later.
