Is it possible? Is it finally going to happen?
I got a call yesterday from Patty at Dr. Verseman's office. When I called back she said, "You have the nicest insurance company! And I have a date!"
OCTOBER 7! That's just around the corner! So beginning this weekend I will start throughly cleaning my house, get my will in order (no reason not to think ahead), contact friends and family for prayer support and begin preparing for a new life!
I am so excited yet anxious. It was always in the "future" - if and when it happens - but now it is REALITY!

I got a copy of the letter of recomendation from my PCP. Tomorrow I will finish the packet for Dr. Verseman and get that in the mail. The waiting game will then be on.
I bought WLS - Finding the Thin Person Hiding Inside You and WLS for Dummies. I am through the first 7 chapters of the first book. It's been very enlightening and I think I will begin putting together some pictures, scanning them in and put together a portfolio of my fatness. She said that it doesn't hurt, especially if the insurance company gives you a bunch of hassle!
My PCP's letter told of my struggle since 1980 when I started going to him with my weight, my hypothyroidism and osteoarthritis. Got my fingers crossed and praying that God will see this through with the least amount of trials!
I am off for the night. Will keep you all posted to what is coming! :)
