14 weeks out I'm down 64 pounds!! I had my 3 month follow up 2 weeks ago, and my blood work came back pretty good. My b12 was actually too high (about 10% high), and my vit D was low (should be above 30 and it was 25-He said it's not dangerous until its below 20). He's impressed with my weight loss (As of then it was 54 pounds lost). I originally started in a size 26 pant and now my 20's are getting pretty baggy....Enough that my work manager told me it was time to go shopping again (i work retail and people are noticing lol). I just noticed last week the crap of a mess my hair loss is starting to be. NASTY!!! No one else knows it, but it annoys the hell out of me. I HATE shedding hair. Anyways, nothing else exciting to write about. I haven't been to the boards lately bec things are fine and nothing to worry about. I just wish the weight loss was helping my ankle more than it has (I have ankle instability due to multiple sprains that needs a surgery to tighten the ligament, a bone chip and a minor fracture on my talar dome that is from a fall at work Dec 2010 that work comp denied me for-and I lost my original job then and now I have no insurance at my new one). Ahh, C'est la vie, n'est-ce pas?

3 Week follow up

I went to my 3 week follow up yesterday, and all I can say is wow!! My Dr. is so kind; I just want to give him this great big old hug. lol... Since my scale is brokem I thought I had lost about 20 # but I had actually lost 27#! I talked to him about my sl.eeping problem, and he said that my metabolism has sped up so much that Im breaking down fat so well that it is creating mega energy for me, thus not being able to sleep. He gave me a Rx for Ambien for 2 weeks since I go back to work next week and work the early shift. Last night's sleep was amazing!!! Today is the first morning that I took my son to school and didn't come home and go back to bed because I was so dead tired.

Since surgery I cant establish a decent sleep pattern. I have a hard time falling asleep, and once I am asleep I cant seem to stay asleep. Then days like today where I wore myself out from cleaning house and moving furniture I had to lie down and I fell asleep on the couch for two hours. So now it is 230 am and I have yet to fall asleep. It doesnt help that my feet are so dang cold all the time, especially at night, because Im sonewhat claustrophobic when it comes to wearing socks. Im not bitching-these are the onky two bumps in the road I have encountered, and I would take these over being obese any day. Hoping someone can shed some light on this.
