It feels so great to say that I am under my goal weight  Just look at our journey!

Before

Christmas 3 and 4 months out

And the recent one I can't beleive it, I am so happy

I can't believe it, its been 5 months and i only have 5 lbs to go to my goal weight. I really feel like a new person. I am borrowing clothes from my little sisters. went from 16s to 7's it feels great. I even fit into these pants i borrowed from my husbands little sister that were size 14 in little girl sizes. I haven't been in girl sizes since I was 9.I have even shared t-shirts with my 6year old son. I love my rny , best choice i have ever made, even with the side effects. I have lost alot of hair ( its a good thing i had really thick hair to begin with or i don't think i would even have any hair left) and i have also developed a foot drop and numbness in my foot, the neurologist says it is a fairly common side effect of the weight loss, saying that fat cushions nerves and when you loose that fat there is pressure on the nerves. So I am getting this thing made for my shoe to stop the foot drop and having some more testing to see how bad it is. worse case is they will have to go in and surgically remove the pressure off the nerve. we will see. all in all the wls was so worth it. enjoying wow moments everyday.

So on Friday the 29th of Jan. exactly 4 months out of my WLS I have had my hysterectomy. So I'm still in the hospital now and still in a lot of pain, but hopefully once the pain of the surgery is gone i will not have anymore pain or problems. Man it has been hell for a few months, I had a pelvic  Laperoscopy on 18 of Jan, not to painful, just alot of gas like the wls, smaller incisions though and one was actually inside my bellybutton and the other one i on my public line. My hysterectomy had to be open so i have the sliced opened look going for me now on my pubic line. Lets just hope now i can be pain free and enjoy the WLS. with all these issues going on my weight loss has slowed a little bit. I'm still down to a size 9 and 2 lbs form having a "normal" BMI! yay

I can't believe its only been 3 months out of my wls and i can't believe the difference. Went from 219 to 154, 65 lbs gone. Went from 18-16s to 10/11s. I'm 10lbs away from being at a "normal" BM. I will admit the first month and half was horrible i was so depressed about not being able to eat the things i wanted to eat, I guess I just didn't realize the food addiction I had, but now i can see the difference and feel so much better about myself. My marriage has gotten better, i think because we are both happier with ourselves now.
     I do have some female issues going on, i really don't think it has anything to do with my wls, i had issues before surgery. So now i have to have another surgery to find out what exactly is going on. It is laperscopic so i am really not looking forward to that gas pain again, hopefully it won't be as bad with this one. I really hope this is over soon so  can full on enjoy my wls.

so my husband had his wls on Monday, it went well. We just got home a little bit ago. he had a lot of gas last night but that got better. He seems really uncomfortable right now. i am also very worried that he is not getting enough  fluids in, but i will give him another day before i crack down on him. 
 
With that , this means i am next. I am excited and a little more nervous now after seeing him, but i am still very ready to do this. On that note they called while he was in surgery to move my date over a day , i guess the 28th is yom kippor and the OR is closed  on that day being that it is a Jewish hospital, so i will have to wait an extra day , oh well i guess what is one more day , this fat is not going anywhere. lol

We got the call today, my husband goes on the 31st of august and mine is the 28th of September. yay i am so excited. I can't wait.!!!

But it feels so much closer now! I got the call from the surgeons office today saying they sent all our info to the insurance today and that it should be with in 10 days to get our authorization for the surgery and as soon as she gets it she will call and get our dates, yay!! I still hate the waiting with nothing schedule to kill the time, but I am going to be busy with other stuff . I am going to be going to school , my son is going back to school and we are moving, all that with in the next couple of weeks, should be fun, but i guess it will help pass time alot.

Almost there, I hope!!! went for the social worker and dietitian evaluations today, they both gave me the green light, yay. I have done all the things the program entails labs, chest x-ray, endoscopy, and the ultra sound. I hand carried the results form my endoscopy and ultrasound to the surgeon today and asked about my labs and x-ray, i guess my primary doc hadn't faxed them yet, and come to find out i had to go get more blood drawn today because they didn't get enough last week when i went, blah.
 Anyways once they get all that crap in they all do a pow-wow and make sure they all agree that i am fit for surgery, then its off to insurance. Now its just waiting with out other appointments to fill in the time, lol

    My 5 year is having his tonsils and adenoids taken out next Friday so i am sure i will be busy with that, my poor baby will be so spoiled and he is tickled pink over that lol.

Ok i am so ready to just do it!! not really i still feel completely lost on what exactly and how to eat. Anyways we went for our surgeon consult and got a list of everything we need to complete before they will submit it. I got started on it but it is so frustrating cuz most of the appts cant happen now lol , I'm a stay at home mom i look forward to getting out of the house, even if it is to get poked and prodded. So we went to the gastroenterologist, had the ultrasound done and an appt for the upper GI endoscopy. We went 2 our PCP and got the lab stuff and chest x-ray.  We quit smoking, big step i can't believe we did it together, without killing each other. lol its been 2 weeks. I just feel like time is creeping by . Our endoscopy is on the 19th and then we have a NUT seminar on the 30th, and Nut& social worker apt on the 8th of July, then it can be submitted. Oh it seems so far away, i think it is because i know that my husband is going 1st and it will be 3 to 4 weeks after he  has his that i am going. Im just bored and needed to vent about it.
