Well here I am 15mo. down the road and it's hard to believe that I'm finally here. It has been trying at times but I can honestly say I don't regret it. I'm asked that often. I never understood people asking me that. Do I regret getting my life back...no, do I regret being able to breath easily once more....no, do I regret not feeling constantly exhausted......no,do I regret having to give up sugar,sweets and everything bad for me to get me to the point of regaining my life back....nope.It finally feels good to be in my own skin

Well went back to see Dr.Kim and Ive lost 39.4 lbs. in 6 weeks! I can't believe I lost that much!!!!!!!! Says I'm doin' great and that I don't have to come back until August... I am sooooooooo happy I did the WLS. Just had my 45 B'day on June 4th and on June 6th DH and I were married 26 years.....OMG

 

 

 

Well it's been awhile since I've been here but here we go I've got to have surgery on Nov.16 for an incisional hernia that has been giving me fits. I'm ready to get this thing fixed so that it will quit hurting. I've lost 80lbs. and other wised I'm doing great!!!!!! Will talk more after surgery.

 

 

 

went to meet Dr. Kim, for consult on surgery etc... I really like him, he seems to be on top of everything, but not full of himself like he other Doctor that I saw at a previous seminar. Was just completely comfortable with his staff an just really was comfortable and at ease with him. I start the liquid diet on Monday that he has you do 14 days prior to surgery. so I guess here we go ,onward and upwards. Will talk later, I’m sure as the liquid diet goes forward.

 

Well getting ready to go to the motel. I'm staying at a motel around the corner from the hospital because we have to be there at 5:30 in the morning and surgery is at 7:30. So here I go taking the walk to the "lossin'" side!! Well I'll get back when I get home...... I'll have open RNY so I'll be a litle slower....But onward and upward.

 

Well I'm back, REALLY SORE, but don't regret one bit. I've got staples from the middle of my chest to my belly button and the lovely drain but don't regret one thing. So here we go, I'll be slow posting till I can get these staples out on the 3rd of May. Will post more then

 

 

 

We’ll leaving for my sisters in Austin to go see a Nickleback concert tomorrow. It's going to be my last good throw down before surgery and taking a good friend with me (Cheri) Just ready to have fun!!!!!

Well I got the most wonderful news today from my surgeons office
I'VE BEEN APPROVED!!!!!!! Thank God for Gary Viscio. He'll fight for you and not give up. I would tell anyone fighting their insurance company to use Mr. Viscio. My Date is on April 24 and I'll be moving over to the loosing side!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got the second denial from Aetna. It is absolutely ridiculous that they use the metric system for their BMI calculations just to get an extra .3 in their figurations. In 2001(on Addepex diet plan which I gained all the weight back and then some) was 237... when BMI calculated with our system it is 34.9 by any other company but with Aetna it is 34.6! So if you are calculating your BMI be sure and realize!!!! It sucks but this is the crooked way that they find to screw you over...I have SEVERE sleep apnea and several other co morbidities that are steadily destroying my health. But this is their tactics to exhaust ever appeal that you have. Going to get my PCP to call on my behalf and go for a formal review by the Texas Board Of Insurance. As I've said they will not defeat me...I deserve to enjoy a healthier life with my family!

 

 

 

Well in December I got bad news once again from Aetna...Well I can't really get into it but I HAVE FOUND SOME HELP AND WILL POST AGAIN LATER when I can just remember never give up and don't let them beat you.we deserve to get the results for a better life and remember we PAY them for insurance to protect us ...sssssooooooo basically they need to do there damned job.... I’ll post later when I can discus things more in depth...Stay strong and don't give up
