 on the 10th i went to the doctor for my 1st follow up and drain removal..........yuck........i aint gonna lie lol it hurt!! lol only for a brief second but it did......it felt like he was pulling my intestines out lol....the doc said sometimes u feel some pain cause the tube can loop itself around some organs or intestines and when he pulls it out u will feel it......Im glad that is done lol
otherwise i passed with flying colors, had lost 10 pounds to date and soon i can move on to the mushy food, even though i have tried some already and had no problems.........feeling better day by day.........

 tomorrow i am getting my drain taken out, hope it does not hurt bad lol.....otherwise i am doing ok, lost 10 pounds sofar , not in to too much pain other than back pain, can eat and drink with no problem......sofar so good....

 and it was my birthday also lol.......went in at 6 am and then had to wait around for a while...at around 7 they came and got me, put me into a room and i changed into a gown and then most of the surgical team came in and introduced themselves.......30 min later they wheeled me into the operating room where i had to scoot my big ass onto the operating table and they hooked me up to some monitors.......after that i was out completely.......I do not remember the recovery room at all, when i was finally awake i was in my room already surrounded by my husband and sister.....
I slept most of the 1st day, even though the nurse will come and bug you every 2 hours.....lol.....I got up and walked the hallways twice, not into too much pain but i stayed on top of my pain meds button lol
was not allowed to drink or eat anything that first day and on day 2 they took me to x ray and gave me this nasty stuff to drink so they could see if i had any leaks, which i did not so later on in my room they brought me a jug of water out of which they took 30 cc and for me to try to drink.......I had no problems swallowing and could have drunk that whole jar if they had let me lol...so every 20 minutes i had to drink 30 cc's and for dinner they put me on stage 2 full liquid diet......they brought some nasty green jello, water down milkshake, pureed meat and pureed vegtables.......and some watered down tomato soup.......I had no problems eating , swallowing or drinking......the nurses were amazed lol.....also no Gas pains in my shoulders or anywhere else......only problems i had was that my BP went up a bit and some elevated temp, but that all went away......at around 7 pm they discharged me home and i came home and went straight to sleep......still no problems or pain other than the incision site, getting up hurts ad trying to bend hurts.....coughing hurts lol
so all in all I had a posterchild surgery with little to no problems......but its only day 3

 well my labresults came back saying I was H pylori positive for the virus so i was put on Helidac therapy for 2 weeks and my surgery was cancelled.........on day 7 of taking the meds i had a seizure.....rushed to the hospital and found out that the Helidac Therapy meds caused my seizure.......was put on seizure meds, lost my driving privilige for 6 months ( state law when u have a seizure) and was sent home.......felt crappy for a bout 5 days on the meds so i stopped taking them......felt better then.....
Hospital called and rescheduled my surgery for august 2nd if my virus was gone.......had it re checked and no more virus....yeay..

 had al my labs done today....9 vials of blood and urine......hoping all will go well....

 recieved a call today.....july 26th is my surgery date......yeah ....im soo happy......pre op diet starts on the 19th......

 I had my psych eval done, passed with flying colors lol and now i am officially on the wait for surgery list.....they told me most likely in august but some people have opted out of the surgery so i may get bumped up to july........yeah, cant wait lol

 yeah i gained 15 pounds and i made it to 40.7 and qualified for the program..........i was eating anything and all i could find...lol.......next is my psych eval,  wich i already have a referral for just waiting on a date..... on wednesday i will attend a support group meeting ( required) and then.......have no idea what is after that lol......There are only 4 other people ahead of me for surgery so looks like this could be happening soon......no upper GI needed...i like that too....lol...so im finally moving ahead a bit........

 Havent said that before in my lifetime...lol...but its true...i need to gain 10-15 more pounds to fit the criteria for my doc's bmi machine.....lol it recorded me at 39 and i need to be at 40...........at least i wont feel guilty about eating now lol
