George Cowan, Jr.

"I attended Dr. Cowan's required three hour lecture in January, 2000. I went in for my first appointment February 3, 2000. He is a very compassionate person. Referring to the insurance company, he told me to "keep my head up and don't let them get me down." That became some important advice during the appeal process. The negative thing I would like to say is office staffing problems. I think this has been going on for quite a while. It was frustrating to me to not be able to talk to the insurance representative when I needed to inquire about something. I think she was new to the position and was spread pretty thin. However, when I hit the "crisis" point and was at the point of hysterics after my second appeal, she immediately called me back. In other words, a person can only do what they can do with the time that they have! Maybe things will smooth out in the next few months with the staffing problem. Once approved, I was able to schedule a surgery date one month from approval date! Surgery date is July 11th! "
