My name is Launa. I am 33 and have been fighting with my weight all my life. Growing up, I didn't have many health problems. But, in the last five years, I have noticed that my weight is really starting to take a toll on me. I have asthma, GERD, and DDD, and they all should improve with the weight loss. I want to be healthy enough to have children of my own some day. Right now, I would like to have the energy to spend time with my niece and nephew. I have thought about this surgery (RNY) for a number of years and am very thankful to have been introduced to this website. This site has it all and the information helped me make a life-changing decision and I am looking forward to being on the 'loser's bench'!!
