I am due to see the Dr. (rather the PA) again in two days.  I am still losing weight, but at a slower pace.  Of course, I have also been less diligent about hitting the gym over the past few weeks.  Seems like there is always something going on at night now that my son is back in school.  And then I went and enrolled in another onlne course at work and now wonder why??  I now have the shower stall downstairs filled with bags of clothes that are too big for me, in spite of having already given away several items to two other ladies.  My husband keeps asking what I am going to do with them, and I really just don't know!  I don't plan to keep them, but I am reluctant to just dump them into a thrift store when I spent so much time shopping and looking for just the right item to wear with something.  I know it sounds stupid, but I guess I just want to make sure they go to a good home?

Got my first fill 3 days ago.  It was no big deal; I didn't feel the needle at all, just the numbing medicine going in.  I was down another 9 lbs, which is still an OK rate for the band, but I was feeling more hungry and not getting satisfied with the portions I was eating.  I was hoping to get back to that post op not hungry at all spot, but that has not materialized.  I hope this will be enough to keep me on portion track though.  That has been my vision for the band, and I am keeping on doing the stuff I know I have to do.

Well, I am now 6 weeks post op.  I went in last Thursday for my first fill.  I was down another 10 pounds from my 1 week post op visit.  After discussion with the PA, I decided to wait on the fill.  My main concern has been that I never stop eating because I feel I have to, but rather because the portion I put out for myself is gone.  But I do feel satisfied with that, and since I have been losing at the expected rate, he thought it would be fine if I waited another 6 weeks to get a fill.  He did say that if start feeling too hungry or start gaining weight I can come in sooner.  This makes me feel like I have more control over my journey I guess, and so far it is working for me.
