Community General Osteopathic Hospital

"The nursing staff was absolutely wonderful to me. I had very few problems and whatever small issues I had were addressed immediately. My surgery was delayed for 4 hours and the staff kept me aprised of the situation. My surgeon had an emergency and the delay was understandable. I was seen frequently by one of several doctors, including both surgeons from the medical practice that handled my surgery. Dr. Currie and Dr. DiMarco were oustanding and made me extremely comfortable throughout the process. The only negative comment I have to make is that the patient that was in the room next to me (a dental surgeon) was ridiculously demanding and loud and gave absolutely no thought to other patients on the floor. This of course was not the fault of the hospital and they were very accomodating to him and he was rude and obnoxious in return. I felt the fee of 50 dollars a night extra for a private room was extremely reasonable and well worth it. Now if other floors would stop stealing the large wheel chairs from the bariatric floor everything would be wonderful :)"

Scot Currie

"Dr. Currie is very personable. He attends almost all the support groups. I find that very reassuring. He was very thorough in his explanation of the surgery. He not only answered my questions but was happy to answer my husband's questions as well. I did not feel in the least bit rushed by him. The office staff is very nice, however sometimes they are overwhelmed. Steve the office manager is very nice and caring and is working hard to improve office/patient relationships. I find that commendable. Most offices don't really care what goes on "up front" I think both Dr. Currie and Dr. DiMarco care very much about their patients. I do think that the office staff is not as supportive to people who do not do as they are told, or who do not seem to want to work hard at this new way of life. It is a very busy office and I think they just can't afford to take the time with people who don't listen. I will come back and update after I have my surgery."

Julian Gutierrez

"Dr. Gutierrez is a very warm caring man. He is also an Emergency Room Doctor. He is working part time because his patients can't bear to see him leave the practice."
