I am a 44 year old single( just as well be single) mom with 2 teenagers. My husband lives 100 miles away with his ill father. We see him most weekends. A son 15 and a daughter 13. I work for the Board of education in an Elementary school. I have been over weight all of my adult life, and was large during my teen years. I am very active with school and I am a girl scout leader. For the last few years my weight has really caused problems. back pain, knee pain, shortness of breath, etc. I hope alot of my pain will go away after the surgery. I had my surgery Tuesday, and I'm still having some pain, soreness mostly. This is the first thing I have done for me in a looooong time. I know once the pain is gone, I'm going to love the new me.
