I just turned 40 years old. I have been overweight for about 12 years now. I am in terrible health for a 40 year old but of course I realize it could be much worse. I have high bp, diabetes, fatty liver, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome etc. My dad had his first heart attack at 49 and died from his second at 57. My mother died from a stroke at age 57 secondary to high bp. My family history is terrible! I have twin 7 year old boys who have NO grandparents (dh's parents passed away before we met) My husband has fibromyalgia and seems to never have good days anymore. Having said all of that--I defiently need to lose this weight and get healthy not only for myself but for my boys. My husband and I are all they have. You would think that would be motivation enough to push myself away from the table and start moving right? Well I hope my choice to have the VSG will be my life saver literally. Please whisper a little prayer for me if you read this as I will for everyone on this site. I am so grateful for being able to pay for my surgery and have access to OH! God has truly given me many blessings.
