I could not have asked for a better surgeon or nurse practioner for surgery and follow-up!rnrn5/15/2008: I really liked Dr. Marvin. He was very knowledgable and helpful during my initial visits, making sure I know everything I needed to know about Lap-Band. I would have liked to have had more information on support groups and the psycholigical impacts of the surgery, though I really knew what I wanted and was well-informed from my own research.rnrnI feel Dr. Marvin's staff was pretty good, they were very responsive to phone calls and messages. The only thing I did not like was that the staff really wanted me to have surgery at a particular hospital, which was not covered by my insurance. The staff also told me they did not think my insurance would cover the surgery because I did not have 5 years of a BMI of over 40 and had me really upset for nothing, my insurance approved with absolutley no problem at all because my company's policy is so good regarding obesity surgery.rnrnVery adamant about follow up care for after surgery checkups and fills.rnrnDr. Marvin was very up front about complications.rnrnI would rate Dr. Marvin and his staff as 9.5 out of 10.rnrnThese are all my opinions and others may have a different opinion."
