HI Barb I started working out 1 week after I got home from the hospital, weather it meant walking from the hall to the bathroom several times aday , after the 3rd week I started working out in a gym and riding a 10 speed and walking 3 miles a day I did this for 4 months...I have no loose skin drinking lost of water helped as well

Tammy... what an inspirational post. I'm juest beginning the journey and visited my PCP yesterday for a referral. What do you attribute keeping toned up and not having excess skin? Did you excercise during your WL? If so.. what kind? Keep up the great work.. I LOVE reading success stores! --Barb

Hey everyone Just thought I would give a update I weigh now 135 pounds I have a total loss of -136 pounds........and no problems with loose skin My hair stopped falling out about a month and half ago, I still have more energy than I have ever have......some things I eat make me pass out maybe to much sugar in it, and my latest crave is wheat thins..I am sitting up here in Oregon Freezing my buns off , can not wait to be back in Texas in April for my 1 year checkup with surgern...to bad it wont be with Dr Leverton well untill next updat take care all

Tammy, Congrats on all your success!!! I am so proud of you. Dr Leverton is practicing with Dr Idhe in Lancaster now. Come join us at the support group on the first and third Tuesdays at Lancaster Medical Center. I would love to see you again skinny girl. Ann

*** 6 MONTHS SINCE SURGERY 109 POUNDS GONE *** 10/15/03 Wow it has been a while since I have been here , alot is going on so I will update ya The hair loss has stopped pretty much , I now weigh 162 pound I am in a size 12 , I can fit and zip up a size 10 put there slightly tight so I will wear the 12s till they fall off of me , I am wearing a large shirt instead of 3 xs I feel great , some foods do not agree with , I still have to throw up when something does not get chewed well , and I can not drink a Strawberry Frozen Margretta .....I dumped big time and only after 4 sips , funny thing though I can drink a regualr frozen margretta but only 3 oz and not get sick, so It must have been the strawberry mix ........I am having no problems with sagging skin, maybe some in my tummy but not as much as I was worried about , I forgot to go get my 6 month lab work done so if my surgen reads this ..... I am in trouble but good news on my 3 month checkup my cholestrol was 110 and all my labs came back perfect .....I have 30 more pounds to go to be wear I want to be , heck I will settle for 20 more to loose , I know longer wear my cpap machine , and I feel great!!! untill next update and I promise it wont be forever the next time so all total loss since I started this process is ............. 109 pounds
