Well Fam, tomorrow is my big day and I will officially be on the losing side. I am excited but at the same time a little nervous. I know this will be a long journey but I am and have been preparing myself mentally for this I have wanted this for so long now and it's about to happen. I know that GOD is good and I am one of his children he brought me this far he will bring me further. So everyone who is hoping to have the surgery or having it and has had it stay prayful and keep GOD first. I know I had to learn the hard way. He will work all things out. He has brought me a long way. I will definitely update you guys once I am at home going over my mother's house after surgery and she doesn't have a computer. See everyone on the other side.

Well I have two whole days until my surgery. I am getting so excited yet a little nervous, but I know GOD has not brought me this far for nothing.  Friday will start a new journey for me and I can't wait. This website has been awesome looking at all the transformations of different people is absolutely amazing. Everyone looks great, spectacular if i may add. I have been overweight most of my life I don't even remember being in the 100's and to picture myself like that makes me smile with overjoy and I know by the Grace of GOD all things are possible. GOD won't put no more on you than you can bear!!!!!!!!!! I have a very supportive family as well as my friends and they are behind me 100%. At first I was a little scared to tell people but they really shocked me......my sister(play) was a little scared at first because it's a major surgery and she just worried that's all. GOD is good!!!!!!!! I will put some pictures up soon.

I have a surgery date May 29, 2009. I am so excited, I had a long date at preop class. My day started at 6a.m. My friend Brandy went with me The class started out with alot of informatio learning about the surgery and the risk, then we watched a video. After all that I got labs drawn, EKG, breathing test, and chest xray. WHAT A DAY!!!!!!!!!! GOD is always there.

Well everyone it's me I just got the phone call I am APPROVED yeah. I can't stop crying. I am so excited. My appointment to set up the surgery date is May 20, 2009. I will be there all day from 7am-4:30p.m. The lady name Lisa with Anthem was wonderful even though I got on her nervous by calling everyday she was still patient and great. She called me like 15 minutes ago and said I was approved I startes screaming in her ear and she said that is something she was use to. Lisa explained to that they will mail out my approval letter and it is good for a year. I am just so excited that this will be done soon. I will keep everyone updated.

ok I haven't updated in a minute.  Well like everyone else probably my paperwork for insurance approval got faxed somewhere else I keep calling the utilization review nurse Lisa at Bariatric Center for Anthem BCBS and she has not received my paperwork. I am really getting nervous about this whole thing. Has anyone else with Anthem Blue Cross of CA gone through this and if so how long did it take for an answer? Everything was going good and fast at first now I am at a hault. But I am staying hopeful and prayful GOD will work everything out. Will keep everyone updated as soon as I have an answer.

Well, I do have a little good news I had my Psych eval and passed she is highly recommended me as well as the Surgeon. I was so excited about that. I also spoke with the Dietician and she actually explained more in details about my eating after the surgery and she helped me out a great deal. Now everything has been submitted to my insurance company BCBS and now it's just a waiting game.....I pray that I  get approved. Patsy at the doctors office told me to call her Friday so you know I will.

I meet some people in the waiting area and this particular person Ronda reached out to me told me about her surgery and how happy she is she took my name and number and told me she will keep in touch with me on my journey. I really appreciated that. Well will update you guys later

Well here I am didn't do much this weekend was suppose to go to the show to see Obsessed never made it.  Tomorrow is my big day with all the important doctors I am suppose to see. I really want to say this site has given me so much hope.  I think everyone is a blessing to me. I really appreciate everyone for sharing their story. I will update you guys with my appointments tomorrow.

Boy am I glad it is Friday. Well I am ready for the weekend not much planned just maybe go to the show Obsessed w/Beyonce came out today will try and go see that. Well Monday is the day with all my appointments can't wait. The wait is so badNot much to update I will let everyone no something Monday after my appointments. Hope everyone have a great weekend.

I have 3 days left until I see the surgeon, dietician, and Pshych Dr. I am so glad they were able to set up all three appointments on the same day  I just hope all goes well at these appointments my faith lies in their hands so I am praying all is ok. Well I am sitting at work thinking about everything and praying that all my appointments on Monday go ok . After Monday they will submit all my paperwork to the insurance company which is BCBS hope my approval come back approved my insurance company said it will only take them 2-5 business days but you know how that is say one thing and mean another. I will keep my fingers cross. I just want everyone to know that being on OH and hearing all the stories has given me so much hope. I really appreciate everyone for sharing their stories.
