I'm going through chaaangesssss
Dec 02, 2012
I've been having a hard time with A Lighter Me. Even though my coordinator was really sweet, things just weren't getting done and as my surgery date is steadily approaching, I realized that I needed to change companies and get everything taken care of. I have switched to Ready4achange. Alma is a sweetheart! When I explained the situation, she was so professional and just simply guided me through signing up and filling out forms. Unfortunately, I've had to change doctors too! Ready4achange no longer works with Dr. Lopez and so I am having Dr. Garcia. Crossing my fingers everything goes ok!
Two weeks?? What???

Over two weeks without ONE cigarette! I'm so proud of me for the first time in a LONG time. I didn't get to be as big as I am without having discipline problems. I'm showing myself (slowly but surely) that I actually can take control of my life. YAY!!!

Progress update
Nov 07, 2012
Today makes my 4th day smoke free! It's definitely one of the harder things I've ever done..but it's a necessity for this surgery. The way I look at it is: be a fat smoker..or be a healthy nonsmoker. I REFUSE to be fat anymore and cutting out these cigarettes is just one of my first steps.
I've also started my pre-op diet to lose the 25 lbs before surgery that they have asked me to do. I thought that would be easier than the smoking but it is definitely harder. Pretty sure it's because I'm not smoking anymore! Ugh! I have a great support system who keep up my spirits...I can do this!
