" Dr. Udekwu is now in Amarillo, Texas, and after my initial visit with him, I was very glad I chose him (Actually, I had picked Dr. Freeza in Lubbock, but when I found out that there was a gastric bypass doctor in Amarillo, I "changed-gears". He is extremely knowledgeable about all of the procedures and their history. He kept the visit very casual and got as technical as I needed.
The staff at the Texas Tech Health Science Center in the Amarillo branch were very nice, responsive to questions, and accommodating. Anyone in this area should be aware that Dr. Udekwu is the only gb surgeon in the Texas Panhandle at the present and may find appointment dates will be several days to a few weeks.
We did not discuss the aftercare much, except that there would be followups and when I could expect to return to work.
Just using my first visit as a basis, I would rate Dr. Udekwu 10 (out of 10). I could have "pumped" him for more info, but I have researched this extensively and didn't have many questions to ask him."
