I've been approved

On Monday we had a terrible ice storm here in Georgia. Consequently, businesses in Atlanta and Macon were shut down.
That included my doctor's office. By Wednesday I couldn't stand it anymore so I called Tricare and asked if I had been approved. The guy told me yes. Thursday, the doctor's office called me and said that I was approved (which I already knew) and that someone in the office would contact me today to give me the time and date of my next appointmernt. Well, she contacted me two hours laterr. My presurgery doctor's appointment is Wednesday, the 19th. My upper GI is the same day and she said that after that I will only need my blood work and meet with my anesthesiologist. I'll be there soon!

One month plus prior

My doctor's secretary told me that it would be just a few days until I get approval. After that the surgery could be as soon as 2 weeks. I have not been required to lose any weight so I am afraid of "shocking" my body with the liquid diet I will have to adhere to. I am thinking that I need to go on a partial wls diet soon, but my will power and the knowledge that I will not ever eat normally again holds me back. I also have to deal with my love/hate relationship with food. If anything can sabatage my weight loss effort, it will be this problem. 300 plus pounds and -120 to go. I'll take my goals in six month increments.
