I have been over weight all my life. i am now 38 years old 5'3 and 276 lbs and have decided to take control of my life. I researched lapband and VG on the internet and found a very knowlegable surgeon in my area, i scheduled an appt and went for a consultation. the doctor was very friendly and took a lot of time with me discussing WL options. I went in thinking the lap band was what i needed. the doctor menitoned that there was a lot of sucess with VG patients and the WL was more guaranteed.... and thats what i wanted a guarantee. they gave me 2 names and numbers of previous patients that had had VG and the other lap band. i called them both and got a lot of insight on there progress. i did more research and decided to have the VG. Now here i am 2 1/2 weeks post op and signing into OH!
