Beth had surgery yesterday! She was banded by my surgeon, so I know she is in good hands! I was planning to visit her today in the hospital, but I have Strept Throat... so please help me in sending her good wishes for a speedy recovery!

Beth - Good luck with your surgery and I can completely relate to what you are going through. I was a basket case prior to surgery but finally a day or so before I made my peace with myself and decided that if it was my time to go, I was not going without a fight. You will be fine, just make sure to drink your water and walk, walk, walk.

Beth......the chance of dying from this surgery is no greater than any other surgery a person with a serious disease must face. If a Dr told you to have your gall bladder removed but there was a chance you could die on the table, would you stop from having that done? Be positive going into this surgery, not negative. Think of how much you are pro-longing your life by doing this. Tell your daughter it will be so much better after it is done, and you will be healthier. It will be the first day of a new life for the two of you, and what a positive role model you will become for her by taking chage of your life! Good luck, and my prayers will be with you! Much love coming your way from St Louis!

BETH~~IT'S NORMAL TO BE SCARED~ just keep putting one foot in front of the other and taking your life day by day. There's a brighter tomorrow that's just down the road. Don't look back.... you're not going that way!
