NO MORE MOLLY!!! :0(
Her shift ended very early and I know had a MALE nurse, which was not as great as her. I was taken down to the 5th floor for my Upper GI Series and everything came back OK. Finally, in the afternoon I was able to have water for the first time; I have never in my life thought I'd be that happy to be able to drink water. i was given my first meal which consisted of Beef Broth, Lemon Jello, Tea, and Lemon powder for juice. I hated all of it and only drank water and had a little bit of Jello at my boyfriend's persistence. I was finally discharged and ready to head home. Right before we hailed a cab my boyfriend bought me a Diet Snapple and I had a few sips of that--it felt great to be able to drink something else. Once we arrived at home I had some chicken soup broth my aunt sent with my cousin and some more water later in the day...
Surgery Day

7-13-07 Surgery DAY!!!!
The Surgery went very well... Dr. Roslin and his team took excellent care of me, as well as everyone else at Lenox Hill Hospital. Molly was my favorite Nurse, she was wonderful. When I came to, in the recovery room I felt as I was drowining and had no air... but kept falling asleep and walking up--about 5 times. When I was finally transfered to my room upstair I felt myself so uncomfortable and in so much pain I asked myself why anyone would put themselves through this surgery voluntarily??!!!!
My boyfriend had dropped me off to the hospital early in the morning and then went to work.... by the time he got back at 5 p.m. I was still drowsy and tired, but after about an hour of him being with me I asked him to help me get up and walk around the floor, which he did. I walked around the floor for about 12 minutes, before feeling exhausted and dizzy (my blood sugar was low-- I am a diabetic), so I had to get back to bed. After that... I just rested, enjoyed the pain killers.
My Surgery
Jul 21, 2007
My surgery was scheduled for JUNE 22, but had to be postponed due to the fact that I ended up in the hospital with nasty KIDNEY INFECTION. The new date for my surgery was set for July 13th. I wasn't bothered by the fact that it was Friday the 13th, as I consider them my lucky days. I met my BOYFRIEND...whom has been such a great supporter and so patient, on such a day.
Well... this is what has gone on since then.
