Albert Duncan Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

My first impression of Dr. Duncan was he is as real and as honest as a physician could get. We discussed the realities of the procedure, what could transpire as far as the fatality rate and causes of death. We spoke about the change in my lifestyle, and he was looking for very realistic answers too. I have met with a couple of surgeons, where others give you this kind of "Willy Wonka" approach to this life altering surgery; Dr. Duncan does not. His office staff was pleasant & helpful at every turn. Ironically what I liked most was what I liked least, he scared the dickens out of me! If you liked to be lied to & coddled DON'T COME HERE!!! I'm still at the very beginning, I'll keep you posted.

2/11/04 - I am kind of at a stand still now. I have to go for my psych. evaluation, and I have to go to a nutritionist. I had my first bout with the fear that seeps in behind the reality of this surgery. My son's father told me I don't need it, that I am gorgeous as a big girl, but I don't feel sexy anymore, I just feel huge. Dr. Duncan remains wonderful though. I have Americhoice Medicaid, and I am presently trying to find some one who accepts these plans. I'll keep you posted...

Dr. Duncan is the nicest, most sensitive doctor that I have had so far. He is very sensitive to my needs. YOu can ask him anything and he doesn't push you off to see the next patient. He takes his time. He gives you trust. He is quite thorough in what is asked of him, he is quite knowledgeable, even though I did alot of research before seeing him. I have researched this procedure for over two years and after meeting him for the first time, I was convinced to go ahead and do this procedure.

My surgery went so good. Dr. Duncan and hios surgical staff werde fantastic. I was given the royal treatment before, during and after surgery. I even felt even better after the surgical staff said so many good things about him and how he operated on their family members, friends and even some staff members. I would recommend him highly.

My first impression of Dr. Duncan was this very calming feeling as soon as I saw him . He is soft spoken ,honest and has a great sense of humor (which made me feel very relaxed). He was very realistic, I already did all the research and lived through my brother and mother having the surgery the year before, so he just affirmed most of what I knew already. His staff are just as sweet as he is,very helpful and kind. I had my surgery on 3/15/04 and I was fine (emotionaly) until I got on the table , then i was a wreck!!!! Dr. Duncan talked me through everything while I was getting prepped and held my hand when he saw me crying (from my nerves)and made me smile like he always does. I would recommend any and all who ask that they go to Dr.Duncan...GOD BLESS HIM
