Farid Kehdy Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

Dr. Kehdy seemed kind and capable when I met him for the first time, but as time has gone on I have developed a deep respect for him. He is a wonderful surgeon and addresses all my concerns no matter how small. He is extremely thorough in gathering information about lifestyle and habits post operatively to help you be as successful as possible. He makes Norton's program look good. I feel blessed to have lucked out and gotten such a great surgeon. He is extremely competent and definitely knows his stuff and his bedside manner is fabulous. The office staff is friendly, but takes their time while you are still in the \"approval\" and surgery scheduling phase. Some days they get a little backed up in the office and I may wait up to 20 minutes and the parking is ALWAYS full, but I consider myself lucky if those are the only complaints I've had.

I had my consult with Dr. Kehdy on Nov. 12, 2007. I was alittle worried because he had not been with the University Surgical Associates very long but he immediately put me at ease. He spent about 45 mins. to an hour going over the procedure and answering my questions and he was not hurried at all and gave me his full attention. I came away from my appointment quite comfortable that he would devote his attention to my surgery and would be there afterwards to help me along this significant change in my life. I am very much content with having him preform my surgery. His nurse is named Debbie she is great about calling you back and getting info to you right away. She seems like a very nice person! rnrnUpdate: My surgery was cancelled because of a Medicare thing so Dr. Kehdy has to do my surgery with Dr. Allen as his tag team guy...I guess because Dr. Kehdy didn't have Medicare Clearance Dr. Allen has to be there with him because he has the clearance. rnrnDr. Kehdy called me last night and I just want to say that when his Medicare clearance comes in those who have chosen him as there Doctor will be very pleased. This man was more upset than me about the cancellation and he apologized profusely. He said he will continue to be my doctor but Dr. Allen will be the one who is credited with my visits so Dr. Kehdy is basically seeing me for free. I feel horrible about this because if he sees me he deserves to be the one who is paid. rnHe has a wonderful disposition and you can see that he really cares for his patients. rnrnUPDATE: I was so mistaken when I had talked to Dr. Kehdy I had thought that he could not do my surgery but that Dr. Allen had to do it instead. I didn't realize until my surgery that Dr. Kehdy had done my surgery. I was in the most capable(sp?) hands. My scars look great and I did not need pain medicine for very long. Dr. Kehdy has the best bedside manor and he has treated me with respect and as if my victory was his victory as well. Alot of doctors I've met treat you like they have very little time for you and like you are a bother with your questions, your a faceless person who they won't remember as soon as they walk out the door. This doctor is nothing like that, honestly today when I seen him in the office I was so excited because of what he has done for me I nearly jumped up and hugged him when he came in the door but I maintained my composure. I like that he is as happy as I am about my weight loss and I really feel he is routing for me. You can't get any better than this! I can't say enough about him and if you are reading this and want to be in the best hands you need to go see Dr. Kehdy!rnrnrnrnrnrn
