Fernando Sanchez Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.
My first impression of Dr. Sanchez was quite a shock. I had heard so many bad things about his bedside manner that I went in prepared to do battle. BUT might I say I was VERY pleasantly surprised by him. He was so nice to me and answered all of my questions and seemed very concerned about my health. He didn't go into great detail about how the surgery would be done because he wanted me to have all of my pre-op testing done and to read over some information he gave me about the surgery. His office scheduled the first of my pre-op testing for NEXT WEEK!!!! His staff said it would take about 6-8 weeks for all the testing and approval to be completed. Once all testing is complete I go back and a date will be set. The only thing I did not like was the wait time. My appointment was at 3:30 (as well as the other 25 people in the waiting room) and I wasn't seen until 5:45.
So far so good and I would recommend him to anyone wanting to have the surgery done!!! He is also now doing his procedure Laproscopically.
My frist impression of Dr.Sanchez was that he must be a very good surgeon because his office was full of patients, that's generally a good sign, when I met him, I already a list of questions ready for him? suprisingly he took his time and answered every question and at the end ask me did I have any more, I didn't feel like he rushed me in and out, he took his time to go over everything he felt I need to know or wanted to ask. He get's a 10 from me. His staff is also very nice and polite. The only thing i would like to see is group meetings.
my first impression of him was great. He took the time to evaluate me. He had me to tell him what i knew about this surgery. He drew a picture of my stomach and explained to me what he would be doing to me. He gave me this site address.
I think highly of him and i'm sure that he is the one to do my surgery.
Everyone was nice a very perfessional.
nothing
He is straight forward so do your homework before you come see him because he will ask questions.
I haven't had that pleasure yet, but from what i hear, he takes good care of his patients after the surgery.
I think so.
He address the risk of surgery very seriously . He made sure that i knew all the risks and complications.
I rate him a very good and caring physican.
I'm sure they both are. I've heard great things about him. He took good care of my mother and my best friend during and after there surgery(not WLS).
I chose Dr. Sanchez for several reasons. First of all, he performed the surgery I'm having on the friend who inspired me to have it done. She looks and feels great and was very positive about the doctor. I've interviewed several past patients of his and heard only positive feedback, which is unusual since it always seems that someone's cousins' dog's brother has had a bad experience with whatever doctor you opt to use! Dr. Sanchez has been doing this surgery for over 20 years with a very high success rate, and when I met him, he was very straight forward yet pleasant. I really liked the way he was encouraging and still realistic.
