Very knowledgeable and personable. She seemed a little rushed, but still took time to answer all my questions.

I was very impressed with her staff at Rocky Mountain Weight Loss Center. They took time to answer all my questions and never made me feel like a pest for bothering them with questions.

Dr. Parnell is outstanding. I would recommend her to anyone considering surgery in the Wyoming/Colorado area. rnrnrnrnDr. Jeremy Korman....in Marina del Rey is my post-op doctor. I researched him extensively and trust him with my aftercare. In my opinion the aftercare program is as important as the surgery. It's another tool for success.

I met my surgeon two days ago. I was very comfortable with her and impressed with her committment to helping people with their weight. She had lots of good information and advice. She even offered to hook me up with others that have had surgery from my town. I loved that.

So far so good. She was not the surgeon recommended to me, but so far I am alright. Time will tell :)

Met the surgeon at the seminar, very well versed in WLS. Her staff was very friendly and helpful answering any and all questions. What her staff didn't know, she did. Some of the staff have already had the WLS, so they were very helpful. Got my PCP thru the staff. The staff does all the paperwork for the ins. all I have to do is wait, which very truthfully is the hardest part. Since I have not had the surgery yet, I would have to say her bedside manner is the greatest, after the surgery I will comment on her competency. I may wind up with the male surgeon, but that is okay also as they both will be in the operating room.

Doc. Parnell seemed very knowledgable, very sure of her self, which I like! She was very concerned that I understood what I was doing, asked if I had any questions, answered them if I did. I liked her office staff, they were very professional, responded to my requests, concerns, and calls. As for after care, we are obliged to sign a lifetime contract with her, that she is committed to us and us to her, so I would have to say that the follow up couldn't be any better. Doc. Parnell was quite upfront with the risks and possible benefits, also let us know that is wasn't any easy road that it is a lifetime commitment, so if you are not ready or willing, then this was not the surgury for you. This surgery is a tool only and can be failed if not followed through. I am going to wait to rate overall until after surgery at this time. As far as I am concerned I prefer surgical competence to bedside manner! I want someone who is sure of them self and knows what their doing, I don't much care if they babysit me, thats not their job! Tell me straight even if I need my butt chewed! I am a big girl!

I saw her for the first time at the educational meeting for the Bariatric Program at the hospital. I felt that she seemed sympathetic and concerned about the problems of obesity and confident in their groups ability to help. This is a new program with only about 30 patients post op. I felt like the doctors (Dr. Parnell and one of her partners, Dr. Richard Fermelia) were very interested in the whole picture of preop, surgical and post op care. They plan on following up with patients for at least 5 years. They address all the risks of obesity as well as the risks of surgery. They answered all questions posed honestly and without guise. There seemed to be quite a lag time between getting all the prerequisite visits done and getting things sent to insurance. About 4 weeks where nothing happened. I am not sure where the responsibility for this lands but it was a little frustrating. I met with my surgeon for my consult and I am so confident in her abilities. She is very intelligent, kind and compassionate. She seems to have a sense of humor and I am looking forward to working with her.
