Thomas Visser Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

August 4, 2001 -- meeting with him next week Wednesday. Will update then.
August 7, 2001 - met with Dr. Visser at MMPC today. The office had a scheduling mix-up so myself and several other patients had to wait over two hours to see him. It sounds like the office is still trying to recover from the personnel problems. Others in the waiting area said they had problems with the office themselves.
Also met with psychologist yesterday at MMPC. She is knowledable of the process. Will be meeting with her in a few days to get results of psychological exam.
Hopefully will have a surgery date soon.
August 15, 2001 -- went to my appointment yesterday at MMPC to get the "reading" from my psy eval last week. When I got there they said the dictation did not come in yet???????!!!! Said they tried to call me. (This was Monday morning at 9:00 a.m.) -- I said I DID NOT get a call to reschedule becaause of this. She said they left a message just an hour ago at work and home. Well, I leave home at 7:30 to drop my son off at work and then headed to office, not going into work. So didn't get either message. Can't believe this!!!!
Hearing negative things about this office and surgeons from other people. This is scary. What to do????
August 18, 2001 -- Surgery date -- September 11, 2001!!! Need to "pester" the office like they suggest at their orientation. Yahoo!! Looking forward to a new me.
August 28, 2001 - met with nurse and nutrionist today -- last appointment before surgery. They said Dr. Visser will not be doing any more of these operations after my surgery. Just Dr. Baker and Dr. Smith. MMPC has had two doctors leave there recently. They say for business reasons. I hope so.
9/26/01 -- Surgery Sept 11 -- bad day for surgery, but everything went VERY well. No complications. Dr. Baker did the surgery assisted by Dr. Visser who is no longer doing this surgery. They have the hands of miracle workers. Thank God for their gifted skills.
