Huntington Memorial Hospital (COE) Hospital

My overall experience at the hospital was a postive one. I had a private room which was huge. The bathroom was big 2 and had a shower in it. The room was very clean. I was right across from the nurses station so at times it was kind of noisy. I also heard the nurses giving reports on all of the patients when they had a shift change. The only negative thing that happen was in recovery right after surgery. I guess I was moaning (although I didn't realize it) A nurse told me very rudely, "Ms. Coleman U are going to have to calm down...there are other patients in here and u are disturbing them. I told her that my stomach hurt and she said U just had major abdominal surgery...What do u expect? All the other nurses and hospital staff were polite, patient and helpful.

The rooms for bariatric patients are among the best I have seen. The surgical wing is 2 1/2 years old, the rooms are very big and very private. The care for the most part was absolutely wonderful although I did have one nurse who definitely needed a refresher course in TLC. I guess there is one bad apple in every bushel.
