There was a MAJOR problem with disclosure of confidential information from one of the financial workers there. This same person (Marissa Crisostomo) told other patients as well as my mother that I was not improving because I was "lazy"... Facts proved otherwise, but it was/is extremely inappropriate, and this person is still employed there.

I didnt even receive my nutritional supplements on a daily basis and being sore and not at all hungary, I didn't think to ask for them. Pain management was not much better. On average it took 3 ring of the call bell to receive assistance.

St. Luke's is a teaching hospitol and the student nurse that I had was just wonderful. The regular nurses were awesome too. I felt they were doing everything they could to make my visit comfortable and pleasant. They were wonderful.

The staff here was very nice. I still go back on a monthly basis to weigh in.
They are all very supportive.

Bariatric patients are on the orthopedic
floor which is very quiet. Although
nursing care was spotty, especially on
the first day when I needed help, my
stay overall was better than anticipated.

I appreciated the quiet room which had
a shower in the restroom.

The staff was very compitent, patient and caring. I had prompt pain medication, clean linens etc. I thought they really emphasized our being independant. We have to remember.....this is a Hospital, not a Dayspa. :)

The staff was very friendly and helpful
and I felt well cared for.

Care depended upon which nurse you had. One nurse was great and one was, well, I don't believe I saw her during her shift.

My daughter wasn't offered help getting up, wasn't offered help bathing, the entire time she was there-6days, I had to demand clean sheets, they never had towels or washclothes and no gowns large enough for her. The staff did next to nothing for her. Her call light wouldn't be answered, I would go down to ask about her pain meds, I would get different answers of how often she could get them. No one watched her IV, no one encouraged her to use her blow bottles. There was conflicting answers about how often she needed to walk. No one ever came in and told her she needed to move. Luckily I was there at night, a naked man was running from room to room, I could hear lights all up and down the halls, I got up and the naked man ran into my daughters room. I chased him out and yelled down the hall to the nurses station, they finally send staff to capture the naked man.
My daughter was told she had to pay her deductable before she could go home. She didn't have her check book so we wrote a check so we could take her home. Of course at the sign out they said that wasn't true, but I was there, I know what I heard.
Luckily I was able to stay the first few days 24/hrs a day with her. I can see how patients can get blood clots, kidney infections and pneumonia when the staff doesnt do the even the basics.
