Amy Go ahead puree the ham! I did on Easter, 2 weeks after my surgery! I used the ham juice and just pureed it like crazy and I ate 1 ounce and enjoyed the flavor! Christine

YAY- its over, and I am feeling great! Thanks to all the spiritual warriors who sent out prayers and good thoughts for me. I had surgery Monday and as of Friday I think I am feeling great- I am still doing the regular pain meds, and need them, but have been walking as much as possible- REALLY has helped with the stiffness and gas pains. Doc Haicken said I have the insides of a 20 year old, and my insision should heal beautifully and I should be in a bikini in no time, Ha, I want to hold him to that!!! and I am hoping to do it without any more surgery- OH MY GOSH that was the most horrific pain anyone could ever imagine times a thousand... and those ICU nurses, huh, no official comments -ask me in private, but they kept telling me how well I was doing, and I kept saying out loud, I know, I know, I am fine, but in my head I was cussin up a storm. But I held with all my might to the belief that each day gets better, and it did. Its Friday and I am great. just plugging along following instructions, taking my meds on time, taking my little walks, and am OK! Thanks again for all the kind words and thoughts you have written for me- they worked! good job supporting! I have appreciated you all sooo much!

Just wanted to give you all a quick update on how Amy is doing. To put her surgery in Dr Haicken's words it was "Text Book Boring". Amy is doing well and I had the opportunity to visit her in the hospital yesterday. She was moved out of ICU yesterday and will possibly be going home today. Please continue to keep Amy and her wonderful family in your prayers as she goes home and begins the recovery process.
