Dear Diane, My deepest sympathies to you on the loss of your sister. I can't even begin to imagine the shock, horror and pain you are feeling. Know that I (and I'm sure many people on this site) are thinking of you and sending you and your family prayers and good wishes.

Diane, my heart is so heavy for your loss. I, too, have lost my sister and know how awful it is. Also... your story unfortunately brought back memories for me. 2 years ago, my mother died during heart bypass surgery; the doctors FORGOT to come back to the special room where we were waiting (they had informed us that things were looking bleak and asked us to "stay right there")... I finally got ahold of an ICU nurse who informed me she had died 3 HOURS EARLIER. Same situation, she still had blood on her face/neck and it was obvious she'd been deceased for awhile. It still troubles me to this day and I'm considering writing the hospital administrator to complain of their insensitivity. ANYWAY, I just wanted to say that I can relate to what you said, and I'm so, so sorry. My thoughts and prayers are certainly with you & your family. *hugs*
