To the family of Melanie, At this moment in time your sorrow is so great. I have talked with Melanie in chat before. We have common interest...I am a foster and an adoptive Mother and had RNY surgery. As time begins to heal the wounds that each of you are suffering I hope that you can read all of the comments that other people have posted about Melanie. We at AMOS grew to know and to love Melanie. Maybe just hearing that she was so loved by many will bring a ray of sunshine into what appears to be a bleak outlook. Each of you are in my prayers. May Melanie rest in peace and her family find the comfort that they deserve. KimmieTN

To Melanie's family and friends. I too like Melanie adopted my 9 year old daughter. She was my foster child for 2 years, and I adopted her 2 1/2 years ago. I have talked with Ashley about the surgery and she is very excited to do all the things we can't do because of my weight. Although Melanie has passed, I can't help but think she made the right decision even with the risks that surgery entails. She made a huge decision to become healthy, just as I am. I think she was on the right track, although no one can know for sure of the outcome. I hold Melanie and her daughter in my heart, and will pray for you all for the comfort you need at this time. I am saddened to hear of Melanie's passing. She was such a good person... with a heart of gold. My sympathy goes out to her family, especially her little girl, at this very sad time. Melanie will be greatly missed. Hugs, love, and peace - Mel

I'm new to here...and saw the comments about Melanie Brown. I went on to read her story. What a sad ending to a happy beginning. Bless her heart, as sick as she was, to give advice and a warning about Cefle T Tan an antibotic that gave a reaction. I am due for surgery 10\1, and have been very anxious about it as well as excited. With the information Melanie shared I will ask about it as she suggested. My prayers are with your family and your beautiful daughter Melanie. Sandi Smith
