Anne, I pray that your colonoscopy is clean. My mother was diagnosed with colon cancer on January 31, 2001. They found her cancer by accident. She was having severe stomach pains and could not keep any food down. After 3 days in the hospital with no food or drink and every test under the sun, they did a colonoscopy and found her cancer. When they went in for surgery, the found that her intestines had died and were gangrenous. That is where her pain was from, it wasn't the colon cancer. They removed 2/3 of her colon and about 6 feet of her intestines. She had 2 chemo treatments and got a blockage and had to have another surgery to remove more intestines. She never went back for chemo. So far, it has not come back but I understand how scary it must be for you. Don't shut any of your family out because I am sure they are scared for you too. I will pray for you and hope everything turns out OK. Colon cancer is a slow growing cancer so if you do have it, hopefully it will be in the early stages. Take care of yourself! Stacy

I read Lee Anne's post about your situation, and I just wanted to drop you a line and say, "hold on!" You have been through so much, and you will get through this as well. You will have insurance, and with the constant monitoring after this surgery, you caught whatever it is..fast, so you will be okay!! Our prays are with you.

Dearest Anne, My thoughts and prayers are with you during this most distressing time; Leaving your husband and taking the children was a big step--one you did RIGHT !! I'm so glad you have gotten a good job and will have the insurance coverage "before" any formal diagnosis. I just pray that after the tests, it will be something easily correctible. ((If it helps, the doctor told my husband he had a mass in his colon and sent him for a CT scan--it showed NOTHING !! So, doctors ""can"" be wrong ! Best wishes and know that my prayers, along with everyone on this site, are with you // marilyn

Anne: Will say prayers that the doctor is wrong and that whatever is found is simple to treat and not life threating. Best of luck, AMOS family is pulling for you.

Anne, I will be praying for you, and hoping for once that the doctor is wrong and it is something less serious.
