Juana, I am wishing you a complication free, successful surgery and a quick, smooth recovery. I had my Open RNY on Dec. 10, 2001 and have absolutely NO regrets other than having not done it several years sooner. It is, without a doubt, the best thing I could have done for myself. God bless you as you start your new, healthier life.

On 3/6/02, I will have my pre-admission tests that were delayed again due to the pre-admission staff giving me the wrong date but right time.

Juana...I'm very excited for you that your surgery is almost here. I read all of your posts and you sure have had some trying times. I'm just so glad that they found that blood clot before going into surgery. I wish you all the luck in the world and hopefully I will see you at the next support group meeting. Thanks.

On January 17th, I got the clearance and I got rescheduled for March 11th. At first, the aim was to be rescheduled in February but my last day of Coumadin was going to be January 31st. After I got rescheduled my PCP and surgeon talked a week later. I was told I was to definitely stop the Coumadin on January 31st. This way I can be off the blood thinner for more than one month before surgery. I am so excited. Take care everyone!

Well, I will find out on December 19th, if I still have the blood clot. If I still have it then I have to wait another 3 months, which will push the surgery out to May or June 2002.

Hi Juana My best to you with your upcoming surgery. Our date will be here before you know it! I'm having surgery on the 14th also. I wish you a speedy recovery.This will be the greatest thing you have ever done for yourself. Please keep us posted
