Shirley, Good luck on your surgery tomorrow! Just remember when it seems like you will never be "thin" that you will! I made it to my 100 pound lost mark by my 7 month postop anniversary. Just hang in there and know the weight WILL come off! Missy

Hi, Shirley. I understand your thoughts - my husband and I talked seriously for the first time today about the "if anything should happen..." scenario. I have two boys at home still (17 & 15) and my husband and I are looking forward to finish raising them and then get about our own lives. I want to be healthy and here for that, which is why I am even considering this surgery. I'm not living now and I want a chance to really live. So we take our path to the other side, expecting the best, and taking one step at a time after that - Right? God bless your journey. Linda

Good luck, Shirley! I had surgery 9 days ago and have had no problems. you will wake up sometime Monday and wonder why you decided to do this to yourself. and you'll probably ask yourself the same question a few more times - then you will remember -- and you will SMILE!

Shirley glad to see I am not the only one that gets up that early in the morning some times. My date isn't until Aug 1st. I'll be praying for all the best for you and will be watching our messages board for your recovery notes. I'm sure you'll be enjoying being on the other side once surgery is over and soon be doing all the fun things you'll be able to do when the weight starts dropping off. I'm 45 with a husband and 3 grown kids and 2 grandson's and want to be around for a long time for them too.

shirley.......great things are waiting for you on the other side! Here's to a successful surgery, a rapid recovery, and a future of doing "skinny" things, like riding roller coasters, hiking in the mountains, fitting in airplane seats, etc. etc. you go, girl!!!!
