Angel swooping in to let everyone know that Lori had a pretty good day. She's running a slight fever tonight, so they've instructed her to use the spirometer more to make those lungs work!! She said she felt pretty good and has walked the halls several times. Her main complaint was the uncomfortable hospital bed; and we all know they can be torture machines. There nothing like getting back into your own little nest. Lori received a special surprise today--flowers from Sharon Neva, and she wanted me to express her thanks. I'm sure she will do that herself once she's home and settled in. Will be printing her page tomorrow and seeing her before I go to work. If you care to add a note, I'm sure she'd love to hear from as many of you as possible. Thanks again to everyone for their support. Marilyn

Lori, You are doing terrific! It sounds like you are making a fast transition to the 'other side'. Keep up with the walking. You will appreciate the extra strength that exercise give you. I hope your entire journey continues as smoothly as it has begun. Keep us all posted on your successes.

LORI LEWIS IS DOING FANTASTICALLY WELL !! Less than 24 hours since her surgery, and she's been travelling the hallways and has already infected the floor with her positive attitude and great sense of humor!! I'd posted yesterday that her pain meds were demerol, but it's really dilaudid (since she's allergic to morphine); her night was somewhat restless, but she said she feels great. Her delicious breakfast of broth and juice went down easily, but she was somewhat apprehensive about the infamous protein-powder enhanced jello, haha. At any rate, Lori has joined us "posties" and is looking forward to her healthier life. I'll talk with her again later, and see her tomorrow, so will post again soon. Marilyn

LORI~~ YOU MADE IT TO THE OTHER SIDE!!!! Wishing you a speedy recovery.

YAY---LORI LEWIS IS NOW A POSTIE !!! They took her into surgery 1/2 hour earlier than planned and 2-1/2 hours later she was out of recovery and settled into her room. What a little trooper !! Everything has gone smoothly so far. Her other angel and best friend, MaryAnn, was there with us and was such a great support and company for me while we waited. Lori has been up and moving around already, but her best friend "Ms.Demerol" had taken effect when I left the hospital. Thanks again to everyone who took the time to post to Lori's surgery page. Now, please keep her in your prayers for a speedy recovery. HUGS -- Marilyn
