Belinda, congratulations on making a safe journey to the losing side! Remember to drink your water, take your vitamins, walk daily and most importantly, be gentle with yourself along the way. Lastly, don't forget to stop by occasionally and update your profile. As you know, our profiles provide a lifeline to others embarking on this journey. You never know who you might inspire!

I just got off the phone with Belinda and she sounded really good! They took her off the morphine which was causing her problems and the new pain meds seem to be working better for her. She is hoping to go home tomorrow. Way to go, Belinda!! Hope the stomach spasms are over and you will feel better and stronger every minute. We havae both made the journey to our new birthday. Life can only get better, right?

It is 6pm and I just called the hospital again. I talked to the floor nurse and Belinda is in room 3211. The nurse was going to put me through, but I remember how I felt at this time last Thursday. I asked for her phone number and said I would call her in the morning. Welcome to the world of Post-ops Belinda!!! We will have to share stories of our experiences and our wonderful surgeon. I see him Wednesday to have some of these staples removed. I wish you a speedy a recovery!!

I just called the hospital and talked to the floor nurse. Belinda is not yet on the floor. I asked if she might be in recovery and the nurse said if she were in recovery they would know. Perhaps the pre-admission tests took longer than expected. I will call again in a couple of hours for an update.

Belinda, As a person that is having WLS one week after you I asked myself what whould I want to hear this close to my surgery. I would want to hear that I am being prayed for and that my decision is the right one. I pray that your recovery will be fast and beyond your hopes. I ask that God watch over you and bring your through safely to the other side. Walk, cough and breathe deep as you being your new life. You are making the right choice to make a new life for yourself. God Bless you.
