I feel so badly for shannon's family friends and of course "dear Shannon".. Words aren't enough.. Scissors cannot cut this thing: Unraveled it joins again and clings: It is sorrow of separation. ..And none other tests to the heart like this... Sleep gently Shannon... Think of you and your love ones, Laurielee Leonard

I just read about Shannon. To Shannon's family and friends, please know my thoughts and prayers are with you. Shannon was indeed a brave young girl for wanting to change her life for the better. Only God knows why he calls for us when he does and we must believe in Him and His promise for eternal life. You will all be in my prayers. God Bless you. Shannon, rest in peace sweet darlin'.

I'd just like to say that everything in my heart goes out to Shannon's family...God loves you.God loves you.God loves you. Trust that God has came for his child, making her perfect in every way. She's perfect in "EVERY" sense! God would not have it any other way...This is definitely His will & not ours...Our thoughts are not of His, and whenever we lose a loved one unexpectedly, we tend to forget that...it's still part of God's plan...You can trust Him. Shannon did before, during, & even still. Shannon is a child of god, as we all are. God blesses us, enriching our lives w/ family, friends, & His Unconditional Love. What a gift Shannon has been & still is. Think of all the ways God blessed her in order to bless your lives! It's not to forget what you once had in Shannon...but what you still have...the spirit of her love will always be apart of your spirit. You are in my thoughts & prayers. God Bless You All, Robyn

As I'm reading these posts the tears are coming faster and harder. My heart hurts so bad for someone I don't even know and I can't even begin to imagine what her family is going through. My deepest sympathies go out to you.

Unfortanely some of these surgeries are not successful, and we lose precious peers like Shannon. If I can offer a word of solace to Shannon's family, it is this: Shannon was brave and bold, and if she wanted to choose a path without risk, than she wouldn't have chosen being a pioneer, because that she was, and that's what we all are. I'm certain if Shannon was still with us, she would say to others to continue taking the risk and have the surgery. At times like this, we must have faith that God knows what is right. Rest in peace, Shannon.
