Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I was home and doing very well. I have been thinking alot about you. Hope you are home and doing well also. The surgery went well, no complications. I tell you what I just today could finish my 2 oz for breakfast. WOW is this weird or what? The little amount to eat and I am extremely full. Well I will continue to think about you and pray for you. Have a great day. Wendy

10/20/01 Linda had her surgery on 10/19/01 as planned. Surgery commenced at 4:00P and was completed at 7:30P. Dr. Colberg indicated that all was well with Linda's surgery and that she was out from under anesthesia. I was able to visit Linda briefly in recovery at 9:30 P and she was still experiencing difficulty with pain. The nurses were busy caring for her and although she was experiencing discomfort her eyes sparkled and she looked angelic. Linda is a trooper who is dertermined to succeed and enjoy life without the burden of unnecessary weight. Linda is my "Marilyn Monroe" and is the most beautiful and caring person to enter my life. Linda's ability to give is boundless. Today I will gather the children and "go into town" to visit Linda. I will keep you posted of her progress. Rich

Today was supposed to be the eve of my big day and I just found out 4pm that my surgery has been rescheduled to Friday 10/19/01. At first I was bummed because I spent the day on an emotional roller coaster -up, down, why am I'm doing this!! I had finally reached a peace and the phone rang. Thank God I didn't hit the mag drink yet!(lol) I just wanted to share this because all things work out for good in God's will. My surgeon told me that I was originally scheduled for 5PM surgery on Thurs. and now I am first for Friday. I told my surgeon that I much rather have him operate while he is refreshed and alert rather than tired so we ended that conversation on a high note. So to all my friends at WLS keep the faith and in a little while I'll see you on the losers side! God Bless
