<b>ANGEL UPDATE ON KELLY T.</b> I finally spoke with Kelly personally, and I regret to report that she was rushed to emergency surgery yesterday following her RNY on 10/6/2000. Her white blood count was extremely high, she has pneumonia in one lung, and had a perforation in her pouch which was repaired during the emergency surgery. She is restricted from walking until she completes the leak test again tomorrow. She will have to have a heart catheter inserted as well. She was very glad to speak to me, but I didn't keep her because I could tell what a hard time she was having breathing. She said the breathing problems are worse than her pain.<br><br>Please, please, everyone take the time to send Kelly best wishes during this very difficult time. She will be at Crawford Long Memorial Hospital at least through this Wednesday. <b><i>WE'RE THINKING OF YOU, KELLY T.!</i></b>

I haven't been able to reach Kelly T. today - her telephone line has been busy for quite a while. I will continue to try during the day and post an update later in the afternoon if I am able to reach her.

ANGEL UPDATE ON KELLY T.: I finally got through to Crawford Long and spoke with Kelly's mom. Surgery went as planned at 12:30 pm today. She's been in a regular room since 5:00 pm est.<br><br>Although her family didn't see Dr. Burrowes personally, he phoned them and let them know everything went as planned - a routine procedure.<br><br>She is dozing, her pain is under control, and she will be up walking tomorrow. WELCOME TO THE OTHER SIDE, KELLY T.!!! We're thinking of you!

Angel Update: I haven't heard from Kelly T. about the last-minute cardiac test results, and keep getting voice mail at Crawford Long Hospital - I have been unable to confirm whether Kelly's surgery proceeded as planned at 12:30 pm today with Dr. Celio Burrowes.<br><br>I will continue to try to reach the hospital and will post another update later this afternoon.

hi kelly, i just want to remind you to keep your faith in GOD!! i too have heart problems related to the use of phen-phen, and my cardiologist will be there during my surgery, she wholeheartedly approved this for me, so i will include you in my prayers tonight, knowing that our GOD can do anything but fail... keep your faith, GOD is with you,,, viola canton,,, waiting for ins approval>>>

Kelly T. emailed me to let me know her surgery is still scheduled for 12:30 pm tomorrow at Crawford Long in Atlanta with Dr. Celio Burrowes as her attending surgeon.<br><br>She did undergo the additional tests and her surgeon will be evaluating the data this evening. From all she knows, everything is a go for tomorrow.<b><b>Please visit her page and wish her well!
