Hello everyone. I just thought I would take a minute and let everyone know that I made it threw reconstruction surgery. I had my surgery on the 10th. I had my chest, arms, tummy, back and pubic area done all at the same time. It has been a week but I am doing pretty well. The first night was hell, but it has been up from there. I have Pacificare and they paid for the whole surgery. I feel so blessed. I went today and tried on some clothes at Jc Penneys. I just slipped right into a size 8. I am so glad that my journey is just almost over. I started at 261, and a size 46, and I am now 139 and a size 7-8. My husband Nathan has now lost 137 pounds and is very happy with his new life as well. He still has a ways to go but he will be there in no time at all. I am so proud of him. Hello everyone. I am excited to say that I have a surgery date for a tummy tuck, boob job lol. and I am having my arms done. I will be having them all done at the same time. My surgery date is December 10th. I can't believe I have lost a 100 pounds and have gone from a size 26 to a size 10. In six months! What a gift. I am so excited to get this next surgery done. I feel this is the last hurdle to go over. My insurance will be paying for this surgery because I have a ton of hanging skin. Hello all my Friends, I have been away from the board for awhile now. Just stoped by to visit. Wow so many new faces! Welcome and I hope that you all are recieving the help and support that I did from this support. The day of surgery I weighed 155 pounds but I had just dropped 6 pounds that week so my true starting weight was 161. I had my surgery on May 1st of this year and I am now down to 173. 88 pounds. I started at a size 24/26 and I now fit comfortably in a size 12. I am so greatful for this surgery. I can now eat pretty much what ever I want to. I do have hair loss, and this don't sound to bad when you are new to this, but when you get to this stage it is a little scary. I am now intrested in getting a tummy tuck. So if anyone out there reading this has some information please email me at Talkalot6868@yahoo.com. My worse problem is that I don't dump and I have not been doing very good at avoiding the carbs and junk food. I do good all day then at night I want to munch. I always feel guilty and I sometimes wish that I did dump. But I am happy with the weight loss and I know as long as I am not eating our of purportion I should be okay. I still have some trouble with meat. It don't go down well and it just don't feel good. But I am trying to eat more and more everyday. Mostly because it sucks to lose your hair. I was just recently told that I have MS. Don't sound fair now that I have lost all this weight. But I think what if I hadn't lost the weight. I know now at least I will be a skinny cripple. lol. Just a little morbid humor. My husband I don't know about him. He is doing well as far as loosing weight. He is down 100 pounds. He had the surgery on May 24th this year. But I just found out that he is smoking. My heart hurts sooooo much. I almost feel as tho he has been cheating on me. I was so proud of the fact that he had stoped. His last cig. was on January 1st of this year. I wish he truely knew how much this hurts me. Well all my friends, thoes of you having surgery coming up good luck. Things will be fine. Jennifer, How are you feeling now? I am pre-op so I am not sure what help I can be, but if you are still violently ill I would call the dr. or head on into the er. From everything I have read and the info. I got from the Dietician, it could just be a dumping episode, (maybe some sugar in the gravy?)or maybe something more serious. I hope you are doing better by the time you see this. I live just south of Denver so if I can be of any help let me know. Tami

Hello All MY WLS Friends and Family. I just wanted to report that I am down 44 pounds in 37 days. My starting weight was 255. Want to know how I have done it, please check out my profile. Also wanted to let everyone know that my husband, Nathan, is doing well and is down 30 pounds in 10 days. Way to go Nathan. Love and prayers to everyone no mater want stage you are at. Hang in there it is worth it.

NATHAN!!! HI SURGERY BUDDY!! I WISH YOU ALL THE VERY BEST. I HAD MY WLS IN OCT OF 2001. I STARTED OUT AT 450 LBS AND HAVE LOST A WHOPPING 200 LBS ALREADY!!! I AM ABOUT DONE AS I AM 6FT 8 IN TALL. I HAD NO PROBLEMS AT ALL AND I SURE HOPE YOU DON'T EITHER. LET ME TELL YOU A BIG SECRET: MEN LOSE FASTER!!!!!!!!!! YOU CAN ASK MY WIFE. SHE HAD WLS IN JUNE OF 2001 AND HAS LOST 95 LBS.
