HELLO EVERYONE. I HAVE EXCITING NEWS. MY HUSBAND, NATHAN, WILL BE HAVING HIS SURGERY THIS FRIDAY. PLEASE GO TO MY SURGERY PAGE AND WISH HIM WELL. I ALSO WANTED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT HAS ASKED FOR ME TO UPDATE MY SURGERY PAGE, THAT I HAVE. I ALSO HAVE A QUESTION FOR ALL YOU POST OPS. I WAS DOWN 35 POUNDS THEN ABOUT 4 DAYS AGO I GAINED 3 POUNDS. I HAVEN'T CHANGED ANYTHING EXCEPT THAT I AM NOW EXCERSIZING. IS THIS FROM MUSCLE GAIN OR WHAT. I AM ABOUT READY TO FREAK OUT. I HAVE STAYED AT 223 NOW FOR ABOUT 4 DAYS. ALSO CAN YOU STREACH YOU POUCH FROM DRINKING TOO MUCH WATER? I DRINK A LOT OF WATER AND THAT WORRIES ME. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE EXPERENCED ANY OF THESE THINGS. I NEED HELP AND SUPPORT. THANKS AND GOD BLESS.

Hey Guys it's me Jenifer. I AM HOME!!! Things went real well. I must say that it was a lot easier then I thought it would be. When I was in pre-op I thought for just a second about chickening out, but I did it I am a loser! As long as I sit still nothing hurts. Standing up hurts the worst but after I get going it doing hurt too bad. I was able to climb the stairs just now to come and report to you all. I am not on any pain meds except regular tylenol. I get too sick taking any kind of narcodics. They kept trying to get me to try them but I just didn't want to risk getting sick and throwing up. For the first day and a half I was on dylodid. It mostly just makes you tired. It really made my hair itch too. The leak test sucked!!! BAD!!! It hurt like hell to get from the bed to the gurney to the x-ray table, back to the gerney and then back to the bed. Not to mention that awful crap that they make you drink. They told me that I had to drink 2 ounces but I could only drink about one and that was enough. So don't make them push you too much on this. After I passed the test and was back to my room the nurse came and took out the NG tube. This was GOOD!!! I have to say that Swedish Medical Centers, 10th floor orthopedics have to have the best nursing staff in the world. They treated me as if I was the presidents wife or something. When a priviate room came availible they came and asked me if I would like it and they helped me move. The nurses and the tech's. were there to help me with everything I needed. They were the BEST. I have to say the thing I didn't count on was the back pain. The beds suck! The chairs sucked, I could not get comfortable, and by the way you can not lay on your sides, only on your back, and this really hurts. Well thats all for now. *******UNOFFICIAL ANGEL REPORTING***************** I just spoke with Jen and she sounds just great!! She passed her leak test yesterday morning and has been doing some walking. She will probably be going home tomorrow as long as she can keep some clear fluids down today, no problems so far. She is at Swedish Hospital on the 10th floor in room 115 A and the direct number to her room is 303-788-7179. I'm sure that she would love to hear from you all. You did it Jen, you're just a big loser now. Let me be the first to welcome you to the loser's club. Luv ya girlfriend!! Vicki

Angel Crashing in! I saw Jenifer yesterday after about 15 minutes after they took her up to her room at swedish medical center. she looked great and pulled through with flying colors ( she was a bit pale though) I called her this morning and she got her ng tube out and passed the wonderful leak test. Im on my way to go and see her now and going to bring the surgery card so she can have some chuckles. angle on the rise carla klein

*******UN0FFICIAL ANGEL************************** I just got off of the phone with Jen's angel Carla and she is out of surgery and doing great!! They just moved her to her room and she is talking and looks great. I will post when I hear more, but everything is looking good right now. Welcome to the other side girlfriend!! Now you've done it you're really a loser now!!! Luv ya girlie, Vicki
