Darlene, Just wanted to say that I have also had sciatica. It is so painful. I went to a chiropractor and that helped. I also took anti-inflammatory meds(before WLS obviously!lol). Since my WLS, I really haven't had any more problems. Best of luck!

Hi all. I have my consultation date set for December 4th with Doc. Tanaka. I will fly out of Sacramento Int. at 6ish am, yuck!!!!, and fly back home around 2:30. I am a little concerned as my last appointment is at 1:00 and they scheduled a 2:30 return flight. I dont see how I will make it. Anyway, wish me luck and Thank you ALL so much for your kind words of generosity and love. I hope to meet some of you one day. Take care all!!!!! Darlene

DARLENE~~ MY OPINION ON RELATIONSHIPS AFTER WLS: If it was good before surgery, it will get BETTER... If it was bad before surgery, it will probably get worse.

Good luck with your appointment with Pacific Bariatric. I am sure you will just love all the doctors there. My husband and I both had open rny's there with Dr. Rumsey. We had our surgery in 2001, him in Oct. and me in June. He has lost 215 lbs and I have lost 110. YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!!! We both have the greatest admiration for our surgeon and have heard wonderful things about all the surgeons there. The staff is a little difficult to deal with, but they are overwhelmed with work!!! Once you get assigned one person to take care of your case you will get the best service ever. We had a lady named Myla. She was also a post op patient and was so understanding and patient with us and all of our questions and worries. The hospital where you will be staying is wonderful.
