Kelly, you will so love your life after surgery. Yes, it is scary giving up the food....at first...then you will actually kinda be repulsed at the thought of a buffet and all the food and mixed smells and people shoveling mounds of food. It's really kinda gross now to sit back and watch others behave at a buffet. I don't know what you weigh or how much you have to lose, but this surgery is soooooo worth it. Kelly, I am wishing you a successful, complication free surgery and a smooth, quick recovery. I had my open RNY on Dec. 10, 2001 and have absolutely NO regrets other than not having had done it several years sooner. It is, without a doubt, the best thing I could have done for myself. God bless you as you start your new, healthier life.

Kelly~Good luck to you on your upcoming surgery. April 30 is my (real) birthday too. My re-birth was November 12. Now my whole little family have birthdays in November. LOL I think you will find as time passes that this was the best decision you could ever make for yourself. May you have an uneventful surgery day and a speedy recovery ;)

congrats on the sugery date kelly. I just had my surgery on 2/12/02 and I dont regret a thing I dont know what I have lost yet but cant weight to go 2 the docter and find out.
