I have been home from the hospital for 8 days. Yes I was only in the hospital from Wed morning to Thurs afternoon. I felt really bad the first few days at home, but everyday gets a little better. I take less and less medication everyday. It gets better with each day. The cool part is that since surgery I have lost 10lbs. In 9 days. I am excited by that. Now if the pain were completely gone I think I would feel normal again. :)

I have a date!!!
I started this whole process in June of 2007. I lost my 10% and had my psych evaluation in june. (which with Kaiser is the last step before scheduling) Today I called the Program Coordinator, it had been two weeks and i should have heard from her, and instead of voicemail, she actually answered the phone!!! We scheduled my pre-op visit and my surgery is November 5th! Yea for me!

Well it has been just over a year since I first talked to my dr about wls. I found out yesterday that I have to take thyroid medicine for 4-6 weeks and hopefully that will bring my thyroid to were it needs to be. I am really hoping that I don't have to wait for the 4-6 weeks before I can be scheduled for surgery. I am getting discouraged at the thought of having to wait the 4-6 weeks before i can have surgery. Its summer time and I wanted to have it before school starts and I go back to work. I know that God is in control and I just have to rely on Him and trust that it will happen at the best time for me. Sometimes I wish we were on the same schedule. lol I will update more as more information becomes available.
